ABOUT
My clinical practice includes a specialty in eating disorders and issues related to body image and disordered eating all from a weight-inclusive approach.
Additionally, I provide therapy related to fears of maturation, relationships, mental health, adjustment, grief and self-esteem.
My expertise includes working with the Jewish community.
I employ a range of clinical modalities including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Accept and Commitment Therapy.
I also provide Cognitive Processing Therapy and EMDR to treat PTSD and stuck points related to traumatic events or events that have led an individual to feel "stuck."
My approach is firm but kind, challenging my clients and working with them to achieve their intended goals in a manner that reflects the discomfort of change and the hope of what lies ahead.
My sessions range among individual, couple, family, and group counseling.
I previously worked as the Assistant Clinical Director at Monte Nido Manhattan, Founder of Tikvah V'Chizuk (TVC), writer, professor, and national public speaker on issues related to eating disorder, body image, and mental health.
I live in Teaneck, NJ and work virtually with individuals in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and South Carolina.
